Sign-ups are open through to the 31st Jan 2011, right? The profile refers to Jan 2010, which I assume is a leftover.

Thanks! It was one of those things where the logical part of my brain says, "Yes, of course sign-ups would be open to the 31st this year too," and then the anxious part of my brain says BUT WHAT IF I AM WRONG MAYBE IT IS ALL DIFFERENT HELP I AM CONFUSED.

I have a question about word counts. Is it just final word length (how long the fic is when we post it, the thesis when we submit it, etc.) that counts? I could've sworn I saw something a while ago either here or on GYWO on LJ saying that word counts of drafts could count, too -- b/c technically these are words that we have written, even if we later delete some of them: & there's the whole thing about stopping our internal censors so that we can write the crap out & get through to the good stuff in our heads.

I'll do the challenge either way, I just wanted some clarification!

Oooh, yes, that makes sense. I think? Maybe it's the sort of thing where everyone just has to use their own judgment on what to count. Well, the whole thing is on an honor system anyway; even if we all surpass our word counts, that might not mean we post or publish all of our pieces, heh.
